HR COMPLIANCE AUDIT · FRANCE

Know what matters before you spend time fixing it.

A factual review of your French employment setup, followed by a prioritised, workable action plan.

CORE REVIEW AREAS

Follow the employee lifecycle and the real operation.

Applicable legal and regulatory HR obligations.
Mandatory documents, postings and registers for the workforce size.
Workplace health, safety, risk assessment and exposure follow-up.
Substantive clauses in a sample of employment contracts.
Completeness and consistency of a sample of employee files.
Applicable sector collective agreement and classifications.
Working time, payroll inputs and benefit responsibilities.
French works-council thresholds and consultation readiness.
HR-data governance: notices, access, retention, data-sharing and incident escalation.
DELIVERABLEA complete, prioritised compliance report.

The report identifies the actions needed to strengthen HR compliance and reduce employment risk, based on the documents and information supplied at the audit date. It does not guarantee the absence of risk or the outcome of an inspection or dispute.

PRIORITISATION

Fix in the order the business can use.

  1. NOW

    Immediate exposure or blocked decision

Secure statutory deadlines, pay, safety, active disputes and critical evidence first.

  2. 30D

    Control weakness with near-term impact

Correct contracts, time records, payroll inputs, the employee-representation process or manager instructions.

  3. 90D

    Structural improvement

Build repeatable governance, documentation, reporting and periodic controls.

The standard HR audit includes an operational review of HR-data governance; it is not a full GDPR, cybersecurity or data-protection impact assessment. A broader data-protection review can be scoped separately. An HR compliance audit is not a legal opinion on litigation strategy. Where reserved legal analysis is needed, the relevant point is isolated for counsel.

START FROM EVIDENCE

Turn uncertainty into an ordered decision list.

A French company with 27 FTEs across Paris and Lyon falls within the 20–49 bracket: €1,049 excl. VAT for each establishment audited. The audit then checks the applicable obligations at every legally relevant level.
